Phi Gamma Nu (PGN) is a co-ed professional development organization founded in 1924, now with 23 active chapters nationwide. The Delta Chapter at the University of Iowa is a tight-knit, high-impact community focused on three core pillars: professionalism, social connection, and philanthropy.
As a professional organization, we’re committed to helping members excel in their careers through resume workshops, networking events, guest speakers, and personalized mentorship. Our motto, “Creating Leaders of Tomorrow,” drives everything we do.
Beyond career preparation, PGN fosters lifelong friendships through social events and a chapter family program that builds meaningful, lasting relationships. We also prioritize giving back to our community through service projects, fundraising efforts, and outreach initiatives.

Philanthropy
We are committed to giving back to the community and making a positive impact. Our members regularly volunteer at local animal shelters, supporting causes that reflect our values of compassion and service. We also host events such as spikeball tournaments to raise awareness and funds for important initiatives. These opportunities allow us to come together as a chapter while making a difference in the lives of others. By combining service with teamwork and fun, we strengthen our bond as members while giving back to the community around us.
Social
Social life is a central part of our chapter, creating an environment where members can truly connect and enjoy each other’s company. We host events and team building exercises that bring people together and strengthen relationships. Beyond planned events, our members emphasize building a tight-knit community where friendships extend into everyday life. Whether it’s studying together, grabbing a meal, or simply hanging out, we value the bonds that make our organization feel like a family.
